Hi All, I've a bit of an interesting one. Block Opera Browser for Education Client Security. They do the best they can, but their level of knowledge of the network typically isn't sufficient to provide proper detail - unless, of course, an enterprising IT pro takes the time to educate them. Never - as often as possible - take a user's word as gospel.Take a labeler with you and smack labels with the printer's share name, IP address, and other relevant data right on the front. (Assuming the site in question isn't a massive trip away.) Bad documentation makes everyone's life difficult. If so, you'll know all you need to know about the unit in short order. This assumes the printer is directly connected to the network and not attached to a print server of some sort. Try to hit the web interface on the printer.Assuming this is still an issue this morning: Sounds to me like you have some gaps in the network documentation. Unless of course, this guy is reading something wrong to me from the printer.Working remotely to resolve user issues is a royal pain in the neck. It has the color toner inside, I had him verify it, and read back to me the model number on the front. We are here to help but telling us printer isn't printing color and all you have done is uninstall and reinstall the driver, does not help us help you. These are very basic troubleshooting steps that if you have tried, you haven't told us. If the printer is mapped via IP have you tried removing the printer, deleting the print drivers from the drivers folder and re-adding it? Have you tried setting this up on another computer via direct ip? If you have does the same thing happen? There are different paths you take for a local printer vs a network printer. You provided very little detail as to what you have tried and what your setup is. Like I said, the driver is the latest.no need to get defensive, and yes i did need to point out number 1 since you didn't even ask a question, they were a series of statements. It's a printer that is on the network, but is added by IP to the computer. You didn't need to make that your number 1 point. There are no color options in the Printer Settings, so I didn't know where else to look.
